Upriver Draft

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

-National Holidays: Next National Holiday is Friday May 01st, Labor Day.

-Covid-19 National Quarantine: The President announced that the National Quarantine, with severe restrictions on people’s movements is to remain in force until April 26th at the earliest. It is rumored that schools will only re-open Early August in the most optimistic scenario.

-Upriver/Recalada: Vessels entering the River Plate with under 14 days sailing from last Covid-19 affected port continue to be scanned at Recalada prior being allowed to continue. Liner/Container vessels are being given priority provided all required documentation provided in advance. Nevertheless the screening process which involves a visit to the vessel is only performed in daylight commencing at 0700 hours.

-Upriver/Dredger: The dredger that is working at the mouth of the Mitre Canal has now reverted to opening and granting passage to vessels both out and inbound during the two daily high tides. It was originally estimated to be operational until mid May but the estimations now are that it will continue working until mid June, 2020.
