Grains Exports

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

National Holiday: Monday, June 15th, Güemes Day.

Covid-19 National Quarantine: The National Quarantine has been extended until June 07th.
At the main ports the sanitary measures remain unchanged and attendance is well coordinated. The Ship’s Agency tasks are allowed to continue with few restrictions and strict sanitary procedures are applied.

Export licenses: Licenses were issued for 70,900 mt of maize, 30,255 mt of soyaoil, 30,000 mt of feeding barley and 14,000 mt of soyameal.

Argentine grains exports 2019: Statistics for 2019 are being rounded off and for the first time Argentina reached a goal of over 100 million tons of grain exports. Of these about 60 per cent were grains and 40 per cent were agriproducts (meals and vegoils). 67 per cent of the grains and 96 per cent of the agriproducts were shipped from Upriver.

Necochea: The port remains closed. Weather conditions are improving and it is expected to re-open after an entrance bar inspection tomorrow morning.
Regretfully over the week-end an outbreak of Covid-19 in the town, 26 cases discovered, has closed Necochea off to the rest of the world, but with the weather improvements at least vessels will be able to enter and sail from the port and load normally.

Bahia Blanca: Pilotage service is being rendered normally.

Will keep you posted.
