Ramallo is a town of about 12.000 inhabitants in the north of the province of Buenos Aires, located just 16 km south of San Nicolás in an area of intense agricultural production. The largest hardboard (made with eucalyptus) factory in the country is here. The town is 10 km away from the Rosario-Buenos Aires highway (Highway Nº 9). Other highways connect Ramallo with the farming region in the north and west of the province of Buenos Aires.
