Strikes in Argentina: The strike remains ongoing. There are little prospects of a solution before Christmas. All reports are that the Unions and Management will not shift their positions. Meantime vessels are stacking up at Recalada and other anchorages. Latest estimate is over 140 vessels. Notwithstanding, some berths are working as highlighted in the list below. These are grain loading berths. The berths where meals and oils are loaded are shut down by strike.

Pilot boat strike: The Labor Ministry has called a mandatory truce on this strike. Provided that the unions comply with the truce services will return to usual, which means that pilots will no longer be carried by, to and from vessels by the CoastGuard cutters.

Will keep you posted.
