LABOR UNREST IN ARGENTINA

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

The national stevedores union has announced a 48 hour national strike for tomorrow july 30th as from 00:00 hours.
It is yet to be seen how many ports will take part due to the “informal” nature of the national union.
Bahia Blanca and necochea will surely stop working and some ports in upriver may also join.
The reason for the strike is an internal conflict between affiliates.

Necochea

Additionally to the above the local truck drivers will be setting up picket lines closing access to the port for open ended action.
Again, this is a local issue.
The terminals will stop receiving cargo.
It is expected that loading of vessel will continue while stocks allow.

Will keep you posted.

Best regards,
Antares Servicios Maritimos S.A.
