South Korea (KFA) has purchased 55,000 tons of maize for June dates.

Gas and Crude projects being developed:

A gas liquefaction plant is to be constructed in the port of Bahia Blanca. This is a joint venture between YPF and Petronas. The construction is within the port area. Additionally, to feed the LNG plant a gas pipeline, similar in dimension to the one being installed now between Vaca Muerta and the local gas distribution network will be constructed. It is estimated to be approximately 1,000 km long, consisting of steel pipes measuring between 30 and 36 inches in diameter. Closest readiness mid 2025.

YPF will be building a crude oil loading port close to Punta Colorada. This will have two SBM and a tank storage capacity of about 7,000,000 barrels. A crude oil pipeline from Vaca Muerta, measuring 770 km is to be built to feed the loading terminal. Estimated readiness early 2025.

Oiltanking is to expand (double up) its storage capacity at Puerto Rosales and they will also construct a pier that will be able to berth and load Suezmax tankers. Expanded capacity will be 450,000 barrels. Readiness expected 2025. The crude pipeline that today feeds Puerto Rosales will also be doubled up.

TGS and Pampa Energia, in conjunction with Excelerate will be building a gas liquefaction installation in Bahia Blanca. Details are not yet disclosed but it will be on a smaller scale than the YPF-Petronas investment.
