In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.
National Holiday: Monday, June 15th, Güemes Day.
Covid-19 National Quarantine: The National Quarantine has been extended until June 07th.
At the main ports the sanitary measures remain unchanged and attendance is well coordinated. The Ship’s Agency tasks are allowed to continue with few restrictions and strict sanitary procedures are applied.
Upriver/Recalada: The entry of vessels from foreign ports is controlled by CoastGuard medics who attend at Recalada anchorage when the transit time from last port of call is less that 14 days. If after this preliminary scan the crew are found to be in healthy condition the vessel is allowed to proceed to the port declared for loading. Once arrived at the Roads the Sanitary Authority attend onboard to perform a stricter inspection. If all is found in order then vessel is granted Free Practique and may be given formal entry clearance. The pre-arrival reporting is a long list of reports that gets extended on a regular basis. Vessel arriving with more than 14 days after the last port of call are allowed entry without being scanned if all reporting procedures are found satisfactory.
Necochea: The port was re-opened today, June 02nd at 0820 hours.
The town, Necochea, remains with a very strict lockdown due to a spread of Covid-19 amongst the local population. All movement is severely restricted and access from the outside is to all intents and purposes banned. Vessel being the only means of transport allowed in. Ironically vessels are subjected to a 14 day quarantine that is counted as from the day of departure from the last port of call.
Bahia Blanca: Pilotage service is being rendered normally.
