Covid-19 National Quarantine

In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.

National Holiday: Monday, May 25th, May Revolution.

Covid-19 National Quarantine: The National Quarantine will remain in force until May 24th. Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas (Greater Buenos Aires) will have stricter regulation limiting movement. The rest of the country where cases have been fewer will be allowed to relax restrictions.
At the main ports the sanitary measures remain unchanged and working well coordinated. The Ships Agency activities being related to foreign trade is one of the excepted from quarantine.

Export Licenses: Export licenses issued today Monday May 18th 300,000 metric tons maize, 36,500 metric tons soya beans, 20,600 metric tons soy oil.

River Parana dredging: CoastGuard Traffic Control have advised that the dredger IBN BATTUTA has completed tasks at the entrance of the Mitre canal.


Mv ANTWERPIA:
The mv ANTWERPIA proceeding in loaded condition from Arroyo Seco, ADM berth grounded at Km 374 (just westward of the previous grounding mentioned above) on May 16th at 2010 hours. She freed from her grounding today Monday May 18th at 0700 hours with the assistance of a tug.

Recalada Pilots: The boat service from Montevideo that carries River Plate pilots to and from vessels has suspended services. Two crew members of the pilot boats have been detected as positive Covid-19 and the remaining crews have gone into quarantine. Until further notice the boat service for pilots will be served from either Piriapolis, about 60 km east of Montevideo, or directly from Recalada Pilot Station at the mouth of the Canal. Pilots will be embarking or dis-embarking where the circumstances best allow.

Necochea: The port reopened on May 12th at 1025 hours due to improved weather conditions.
