Now the talk is of a medium-term maintenance contract that will last for five years with no additional requirements for improvements.
The initial reason for the longer medium-term contract is that the Government now claims a need for extensive environmental studies to be performed before “improvements” can be designed on the present-day system.
In the meantime, the State Entity, AGP that is managing the dredging contracts out to Jan de Nul.
