Argentina South Atlantic off-shore prospecting

Grains and Markets:
Further to our report on Sunday, the MFG maize Panamax was bought from Bunge and the KFA maize Panamax was bought from Cargill. Both vessels for arrival Korea very early November.
On the same line, Nofi has bought 138,000 tons of maize for November dates, sourcing still unreported.
Egypt is still looking for a Panamax of maize in September.
Colombia is reported to still remain open for a Supramax of meal on September dates.
Argentina South Atlantic off-shore prospecting:
The initial stage of the prospecting in the CAN-100 area, 307 km off-shore from the port of Masr del Plata is now set to begin around December 15th. The work will be undertaken using the VALARIS DS-17 prospecting vessel.
It will be operated by Equinor. If the work is successful, the production from this area will amount to 200,000 barrels per day. For purposes of branding this area will be known as “Proyecto Argerich”
Collision on the River Parana:
A minor collision occurred on the River Parana on Saturday night(01/07)-Sunday morning(02/07) between two bulkers at KM 313.7 of the River Parana. Between Ramallo and San Pedro.
The mv ARGENMAR MISTRAL was proceeding upriver and the mv ES VANQUISH downriver, both in loaded condition.
The vessels glanced off each other with minor damage resulting to the bridge wings. No injuries were reported, traffic was not interrupted and after anchoring for inspection both vessels proceeded with their voyages.
STS Bunker at zona comun for next days:
As always, the STS operation is up to the discretion of the Master’s of the vessels involved.
