Expansion of the pipeline from Vaca Muerta to Bahia Blanca

South Korea’s KFA re in the market for 65,000 tons of maize on June dates.
Nigerians are in the market for a Supramax of maize in July.
Expansion of the pipeline from Vaca Muerta to Bahia Blanca (Puerto Rosales):
Production from the Vaca Muerta shale oil and gas field at Vaca Muerta (NW Patagonia) is increasing steadily.
One of the outlets from this oil field is the pipeline that connects with the SBMs and the Oiltanking facility outside Bahia Blanca (Puerto Rosales).
This pipeline is being “doubled up” to feed the SBMs and the futures berths being constructed for two Suezmax tankers.
This expansion will increase the throughput of the terminal from today’s 36,000 cubic meters per day to 86,000 cubic meters per day.
Completion of the expansion and the berth is now expected to be ready by December 2024.
It has also been announced that a further expansion of the overall capacity is now in the planning stage.
