Grains and Markets:
South Korea’s KFA has purchased 65,000 tons maize, ECSA origin on September dates.
Also, South Korea, but MFG, has bought 68,000 tons of maize. September dates.
Bangladesh is back in the market for a Supramax of soya beans August dates.
Wheat 2024-2025:
The coming wheat season is now underway.
Sowing has commenced. The estimated surface to be sown is 6,100,000 hectares. This is an increase of 240,000 hectares compared to 2023-2024.
The previous harvest was severely affected by drought which now appears to have ended.
Weather conditions permitting, the estimated production for 2024-2025 is now 25,000,000 tons.
