Mv BERGE TATEYAMA, Grounding River Parana KM 312.5:

The mv BERGE TATEYAMA was freed from her from grounding today June 20th at 17:40 hours local time. She was assisted by four tugs, RANQUEL, SVITZER MORA, ARGENTINO I and BRUTUS.

She is now proceeding to San Pedro Roads for inspection by the CoastGuard.

Surveys are being conducted in the area and until these are finalized navigation remains restricted for loaded vessels.

 

Grains and Markets:

China is reported to have purchased three Panamaxes of soya beans from Brazil. One each for July, August, and September. Costa Rica is in for a Handymax of soya meal in October and Honduras for one in September.

Guatemala is looking for a Supramax worth of maize in August, Malaysia for a Panamax of maize in September and Iran have not yet closed their tender for 120,000 tons of maize July-August dates.

River Parana Draft:

We are not attaching our usual Draft Forecast. Until the situation of the River Parana draft stabilizes we will send updates along with our Daily Draft Report.
