South Korea’s FLC has purchased 66,0000 tons of maize om ADM, ECSA or SAfrica origin. Late August or early September dates.
Also, South Korea, but in the case KFA have purchased 60,000 tons of soya bean meal, October dates.
Malaysians are in the market for a Supramax of soya bean meal on September dates and Tunisians are in for the same size but on August dates.
Draft reduction at San Nicolás – Collision on the River Parana, level with San Nicolás:
mv BULK CROATIA collided with a barge convoy of empty barges proceeding upriver.
The incident occurred during the early hours of today (23rd) when strong winds caused the barge convoy, and its pusher tug to cross the outbound loaded bulker’s path level with San Nicolás (km 343).
Due to the collision the bulker has been holed at her bow with a 4-meter gash above the waterline and subsequently remained, for a short time, upon the far side of the river bank.
Shortly after she freed and has now proceed to San Nicolas for inspection by the CoastGuard.
Surveys have been performed in the area and the maximum draft for San Nicolás has been reduced to 9.88 meters. San Lorenzo, Rosario, Arroyo Seco and Villa Constitución remain unchanged.

The mv BULK CROATIA is loaded with a cargo of about 36,000 tons of agriproducts bound for The Netherlands on a draft of 9.47 meters.
