Grains and Markets:

South Korea has purchased 63 thousand tons maize for October or November dates.
Jordan has bought 60 thousand tons of barley on December dates.
Chile is looking for meal on October dates.

Argentine maize harvest 2021-2022:

As mentioned before, the Argentine maize harvest is now deemed finished with a total estimated at 52 million tons by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.

This shows why the main loading area is at Upriver ports.
2021-2022 harvest was 1 per cent lower than 2020-2021.
The overall total increase over the last ten years is 40.9 per cent.

Montevideo – UPM Paper pulp Terminal:

UPM, the paper pulp firm, is in the final stages of building a terminal within the port of Montevideo. Completion is expected for mid-2023. The storage capacity is 50 thousand cubic meters/140 thousand tons.
The berth will allow for vessels up to 294 meters LOA, 32 meters beam and about 12 meters draft. The design throughput capacity for the installation is 2 million tons per annum.
