New “bonus” seasons for crude oil exports

Grains and Markets:
South Korea (KFA) has purchased 132,000 tons of maize, November/December date, origin ECSA or SAfrica.
Algeria has tendered for 90,000 tons of maize plus 30,000 tons of barley for delivery before the end of the year.
Iran is still working a tender of 180,000 tons of maize November/December dates.
South Korea (MFG) has purchased a Panamax (60,000 tons) December/January dates.
New “bonus” seasons for crude oil exports:
In its desperation to obtain hard currency (USD) the Government has instituted a scheme, starting September 27th, whereby crude oil exporters may be able to collect 25 per cent of their exports at a preferential exchange rate. The “official” exchange for US Dollars is USD 1.00=Pesos 350.00. Under this scheme, 25 per cent (one quarter) of the USD being brought into the country will be exchanged at a preferential rate of USD 1,00=Pesos 763.00.
Hopefully, this will generate more exports.
