In view of the ongoing developing situation and different communications and instructions being issued by Sanitary Authorities of the Argentine Government we have chosen to send a consolidated daily report at the closing of working hours with an update of the day’s news.
-Terminals at Upriver
All terminals Upriver have now resumed operations and are working at close to normal levels.
There have been certain particular instances at terminals where one or more unions have refused to return to work.
This has been caused principally by claims to Government Authority, Management and Unions that their safety and wellbeing has not properly considered. These issues have been addressed.
Additional safety precautions such as separation barriers of crew and boarding personnel, cleaning and disinfecting elements to be provided prior and after boarding have are being required.
-Necochea remains as per yesterday’s report with Stevedores and other services requiring vessels to perform 14 day quarantine counting from sailing from last affected port. They refuse to work on vessels that do not comply with this requirement and they are supported by the local Sanitary Authority.
-Bahia Blanca. The grain surveyors union (URGARA) have stopped working this afternoon (March 21st) and will not return to work until March 25th 0700 hours. This will bring all, grain operations to a stop.In Uruguay, Montevideo and Nueva Palmira are also working at close to normal levels but with additional precautions.
