Iran is tendering for 180,000 tons of maize November-December.

Argentina – Soya bean imports:

Argentina may have to import more soya beans to keep crushing plants going. Crushers have stocks of soya beans from the local harvest that will keep them going until mid-November. If they choose to keep on producing, and not shut the factories down, they will have to import soya beans from Brazil as was the case early on 2023. So far, during 2023 8,800,000 tons have been imported from Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia. 4,500,000-5,000,000 tons were originated from North Brazil and brought in by sea. Paraguay and Bolivia imports are brought by barge down the River Parana.

The next harvest of soya beans in Argentina gets underway during April 2024.
