Rosario TPR berth:
Stevedores are on strike again, open ended. The dispute that stopped work at the Terminal 10 days ago was not solved and the staff have set up picket lines at the gates that will on special occasions move onto the adjacent roads and avenues outside the terminal to the joy of local residents.
A further consequence of the ongoing disputes at TPR is that the company has now lost the two seats it kept on the Port Administration’s Governing Board. Servicios Portuarios (who manage the elevators) and the Rosario Commercial Exchange will replace them with one board member each.
Grains and Markets:
Ecuador and South Africa are in the market for a Supramax of soya meal each on February dates. Thailand is looking for same volume of beans, but March dates. Malysia in the market for a Handymax of maize on March dates.
