Soya bean harvest 2023-2024

National Holidays:

Grains and Markets:
Iran is still there for 120,000 tons of soya bean meal on March-April dates, and for 120,000 of maize on same dates.
Egypt is reported to be asking for about 30,000 tons of vegoil March-April, also.
South Korea (KFA) has bought 66,000 tons of maize for April-May.
Malaysian are wanting a Supramax of maize, again March-April.
Nigeria is in the market for a Supramax of wheat in May.
Bunkers at Zona Comun:
Several suppliers at Zona Comun have reported that earliest delivery dates for new bunker sales at Zona Comun are now in to March.
The surge in vessel calls that have appeared lately has caught bunker suppliers and the refineries by surprise and they cannot keep up with demand.
Additionally, unusually long periods of bad weather have delayed contracted deliveries.
Soya bean harvest 2023-2024:
The Rosario Commercial Exchange has issued an adjusted forecast for the upcoming soya bean harvest.
They now estimate that it will be in the order of 49,500,000 tons. Dry weather and heat waves have led to this adjustment.
Nevertheless, compared to the 2022-2023 harvest this will be practically volume.
