USDA Export forecast for Argentina

 

National Holiday: Monday and Tuesday February 12th and 13th, 2024 (Carnival)

 

Grains and Markets:

Colombians are in the market for a Supramax of soya bean meal on April dates, so is Chile, same volume and same dates.

Iran´s SLAL are still looking to purchase their 120,000 tons of soya bean meal for March-April.

Unconfirmed rumors of Argentina importing 3 times 30,000 tons of Brazil soya beans spot and March dates, Brazil/Upriver.

Egypt is reported to be wanting a Panamax of maize during May.

Nigeria are in the market for a Supramax of whet during May.

 

USDA Export forecast for Argentina:

The USDA has estimated Argentina’s maize harvest at 57,000,000 tons for the coming 2023-2024 harvest. This is up from the previous 2022-2023 harvest which produced 35,000,000 tons.

Exports of maize are forecast at 41,000,000 tons.

The forecast for the wheat harvest, also from USDA, is placed at 10,200,000 tons.

 

Necochea – Dredging:

Maintenace dredging at Necochea is due to start tomorrow February 07th.

This means that some berths may be closed for 24-48 hours while the dredger is alongside.
