Grains and Markets:
Iran eventually purchased 50/68,000 tons soya bean meal from ECSA March-April dates.
Malaysians are in the market for a Supramax of maize, March dates.
Colombians are looking for a Supramax of maize in May.
Bangladesh are wanting 50,000 tons of wheat spot dates.
Necochea Port costs:
The port Authority at Necochea have reduced the wharfage dues starting February 01st.
Until January 31st the ratio for charging wharfage was USD 0.55 per NRT per day.
As from February 01st the rate is reduced to USD 0.37 per day.
The overall reduction on a DA for a vessel’s usual stay is 4-6 per cent.
Prospecting in the South Atlantic for oil and gas:
The initial surveys are now drawing to a close.
The next stage, expected to commence in April, is an exploratory drilling in the CAN-100 area.
The drilling vessel Valaris DS-17 is the vessel that has been assigned to the task.
Prospecting inn the CAN-100 area has been undertaken by a consortium which comprises Equinor, YPF and Shell.
The expected potential for the area has ben estimated at 200,000 barrels per day.
STS BUNKER AT ZONA COMUN FOR NEXT DAYS:
As always, the STS operation is up to the discretion of the Masters of the vessels involved.
