Bahia Blanca Berths out of service
National Holiday: Monday and Tuesday February 20th and 21st, 2024 (Carnival)
Grains and Markets:
Algeria (OACI) are tendering for 50,000 tons of wheat, full February and March
Pakistan will be in the market for soya beans (Supramax) on April dates.
Egypt is also asking for a Panamax of soya beans in April.
Chileans are in the market for a Supramax of maize for April.
Algeria (OACI) is still open on its tender for 120,000 tons of maize for spot dates.
Taiwan (MFIG) will be tendering on January 10th for 65,000 tons maize March-April.
New Government – Export taxes reduction:
The “Omnibus” Bill sent by the new Government for approval by Congress includes a reduction on taxes for mining and petroleum exports.
Previous to this (and still now) all mining and petroleum exports are taxed at 15 per cent.
Bahia Blanca – Inflammable Berths out of service:
The Bahia Blanca port administration has announced that Berth 1 will closed for maintenance between January 10th and January 15th.
Berth 2 will closed for maintenance between this evening (January 09th) until January 11th.
Bunker deliveries at Zona Comun:
