Algeria’s (OACI) tender for wheat was fixed at 600,000 tons, optional origin. Shipment is during April.

Egypt (GASC) is tendering for 30,000 tons of soya bean oil and 10,000 tons of sunflower seed oil.

Morocco is in the market for a Supramax full of soyabean meal during April and Colombia also for a Supramax during March.

Algeria (ONAB) are looking for 160,000 tons of maize on close dates.

Vietnam is wanting a Panamax of maize in each April and May.

Argentina 2023-2024 maize and soya bean harvest:

The latest (conservative) estimates issued by the Rosario Commercial Exchange put the coming harvest at 52,000,000 tons for soya beans and 60,0000,000 tons for maize.

This is down to good weather that continues all over the Pampas regions during our summer. Plenty of rain and not too excessive heat during our summer.

In the meantime Paraguay is looking at 5,900,000 tons of soya, still improving with the weather. 70 per cent of Paraguayan soya beans are crushed in Argentina.

Nueva Palmira – Iron ore exports:

Iron ore exports from Brazil, through Nueva Palmira are forecast to increase substantially during 2024.

During 2023 the figure stood at 350,000 tons.

The forecast for 2024 is 3,000,000 tons.

The iron ore is shipped by barge down the River Parana from Upriver Brazil and transshipped at Nueva Palmira to ocean going vessels.

STS BUNKER AT ZONA COMUN FOR NEXT DAYS:
