Update on forecasts for 2023-2024 harvests

National Holiday: Monday and Tuesday February 12th and 13th, 2024 (Carnival)

 

Grains and Markets:

Japan still there for a Panamax of soya bean during April.

Morocco in turn is looking for a Panamax of soya bean meal, also for April.

Algeria (ONAB) are asking for 160,000 tons of maize, plus 30,000 tons of barley. Japan still there for their Panamax of maize in April.

Nigeria is in the market for a Supramax of wheat during March.

South Korea (NOFI) has purchased two time 68,000 tons of maize on May and June dates. Sourcing optional.

Update on forecasts for 2023-2024 harvests:

According to the Buenos Aires Grains Exchange issued today 25th.

Soya (with harvesting commencing late March) is now forecast to be 52,500,000 tons. Weather permitting.

Maize (with harvesting commencing April) is now expected, again weather permitting, to be slightly above 60,000,000 tons.
