A damp end of the week has produced relief amongst farmers and traders. The drought appears to be breaking and the farmers that waited to sow may be rewarded.
Guatemala joins Honduras looking for soya meal on April dates.
Colombia is wanting maize for May dates.
Mv TAI KNIGHTHOOD at Puerto Madryn:
The Liberian flagged mv THAI KNIGHTHOOD which called at Puerto Madryn after opening a hole in her hull at Necochea’s breakwater has eventually sailed bound for China, calling along the way at Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Temporary repairs were performed at the sheltered anchorage of Puerto Madryn, Northern Patagonia. As from the middle of the last week the vessel is now underway.

As always, the STS operation is up to the discretion of the Master’s of the vessels involved.
Regretfully, the National Water Institute (INA) has not issued its usual forecast data that we use to prepare the usual water level graph.
Soonest the data becomes available we will send it.
