New Terminal/Port to be built at Upriver (Timbues)

 

National Holidays:

Grains and Markets:

Egypt is in the market for wheat (Panamax volume) of wheat, dates late April or early May.

South Korea’s MFG has purchased 66,000 tons of maize, optional origin South Africa or ECSA.

Nigerians are in the market for a full Supramax of wheat for June dates.

Algeria has purchased 60,000 tons of maize on April dates.

Taiwanese are in the market for 56,000 tons of wheat, May dates.

India is in the market, spot dates, for soya and sunflower seed oil.

 

New Terminal/Port to be built at Upriver (Timbues):

It has been announced that a new Terminal/Port is to be constructed at Upriver (Timbues).

Timbues is the furthest Upriver area for San Lorenzo.

The installation will first serve the inbound fertilizer trade and is to be constructed by and for an Argentine company (Servicios Portuarios) who presently manage Units VI and VII at Rosario as well as  rendering stevedoring and shore services at San Nicolas and Villa Constitución. Technical details are not yet disclosed.

At a later stage silos and loading facilities will be added to service grain and agriproduct exports.
