National Holidays: Monday, November 20th.
Grains and Markets:
South Korea (Nofi) has bought 65,000 tons maize from Cargill, December shipment. Origin undisclosed.
Nofi also purchased 60,000 tons from Agrocorp on similar dates, again origin undisclosed.
Necochea, stevedores protest:
Stevedores in Necochea are protesting new security procedures in place by the Port Administration. They claim that hey cannot enter the port with their cars and some are being banned from working.
They are making wild cat (unscheduled) strikes every day for 2 or 3 hours.
This is a purely local issue.
Argentine wheat to China:
The Argentine Government has announced that an agreement has been reached on sanitary protocols that will allow Argentine wheat to be exported to China.
China imports about 11,000,000 tons of whet per year being mainly sourced from the Australia and Canada.
This agreement will allow Argentina to join in on the trade.
