Offshore Gas in Tierra del Fuego

National Holidays:Friday, Friday, October 07th and Monday October 10th

Grains and Markets:

Saudi Arabia has purchased 556,000 tons of wheat. Sourcing worldwide. As from November through February 2023.
Pakistan will be tendering for 300,000 tons of wheat, October shipment dates.
Soyabean trading in Argentina remains very active, all for export, on the back of the “special exchange rate” applied by the Government on trades before the end of September. The recorded volume traded so far, until the middle of September is 7,000,000 tons.
Due to competitive prices, there is talk of Argentina being able to export soya oil to the US soon.

Customs Draft Surveys:

With the lifting of the smaller restrictions caused by Covid 19, Customs at some ports will be returning to performing Draft Survey inspections on vessels. Reportedly to audit the shore scales. The initial intention is to perform a closer check on bulk imports, principally fertilizers. But there will also be audits performed on export vessels to verify accuracy of shore scales.
The ports that have declared this intention, this far, are Necochea and Bahia Blanca.

Offshore Gas in Tierra del Fuego:

The gas field offshore of Tierra del Fuego, which is managed by Total, Wintershall Dea and Pan American Energy expects to start production by early 2025. There will be three wells drilled and they feed into a 35 km long pipeline to Vega Pleyade platform.
A further stage of this project is the installation ashore of a fertilizer (urea) production plant.
