Grains and Markets:
South Korea (NOFI) has purchased 55,000 tons of soya bean meal on December dates.
December requirements: Thailand is in the market for a Supramax of soya beans, Morocco wants a Panamax of soya bean meal, Egypt is looking for 30,000 tons of soya bean oil plus 10,000 tons of sunflower seed oil. Chile wants a Supramax of meal for October.
South Korea (NOFI, again) has bought 48,000 tons of maize for December delivery. MFG (also South Korea) has purchased 68,000 tons of maize.. Taiwan’s MGIG has purchased 65,000 tons of maize, Brazilian origin with November delivery.
Log exports from Concepcion del Uruguay and Ibicuy:
Four Handysize vessels are reported to call at Concepción del Uruguay with completion at Ibicuy during the coming 30 days. The cargo is pine logs. At Concepción del Uruguay they each lift about 18,000 tons (due to maximum draft 25 feet FW) and completion will be at Ibicuy. Destination is India. Total lift for each vessel will be about 34,000 tons.
