Vaca Muerta-Litoral gas pipe line:

It has been reported that funding for 2nd stage of the Vaca Muerta-Litoral gas pipeline has been obtained from Brazil’s BNDES. With this in hand tenders for supply and construction will be called and offers asked for September 29th. It is worth recalling that the first stage of the pipeline was constructed during November 2022 and completed July 2023. Pipes were sourced in Brazil, shipped from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires Dock-Sud. They were then coated in Argentina and laid down between Tratayen and Saliqueló. This next stage is between Saliqueló and San Jeronimo Sud (slightly south of Rosario) where it will connect with the national grid. It is still early days to talk about dates for commencement of shipping.
