Grains and Markets:
Egypt is looking for a Panamax of soya beans during January, Malaysia wants a Supramax of soya bean meal in December and Morocco is seeking a Supra/Panamax of soya bean meal during November.
South Korea (KFA) has purchased 55,000 tons of maize for December dates, origin undisclosed.
YPF LNG plant at Bahia Blanca:
YPF have now disclosed further details of the LNG plant they plan to install in Bahia Blanca.
The gas will be sourced from Vaca Muerta shale oil and gas field in North Western Patagonia. A gas pipeline measuring 620 kilometers will be constructed from the gas source to Bahia Blanca where it will be liquefied. In a first instance two LNG processing vessels will be moored in what is now the outer part of Bahia Blanca (Ingeniero White). At a later stage, the gas liquefaction plant will be constructed, in conjunction with Petronas at an onshore location. Please see the map below.
Once the whole plant is fully functioning the yearly production goal is 25,000,000 tons, equivalent to 465 LNG carriers of today’s size.
