New windmill park in Bahia Blanca
National Holidays: Friday October 13th and Monday October 16th.
Grains and Markets:
Iran remains in the market for 120,000 tons of soya bean meal September and/or October dates. Iran is also still looking for 180,000 tons of maize during the same period.
Egypt (GASC) is in the market for a Panamax of maize during October/November.
Japan is also wanting a Panamax of soya beans during November.
Bahia Blanca. Stevedores:
Stevedores in Bahia Blanca are calling wild-cat two-hour stoppages on a random basis during each 6 hour working shift. Now, additionally, on certain days they are refusing to work overtime shifts (01:00-07:00 and 19:00-01:00) on weekdays. Stoppages are announced with only a few hours warning. This is related to a wage dispute.
New windmill park in Bahia Blanca:
Pampa Energia is commencing building of a new windmill park in the Bahia Blanca region.
The first stage will consist of 21 wind generators totaling 94.5 MW capacity. The second stage will consist of 10 wind generators adding 45 MW total capacity. The project is expected to be finished during the last quarter of 2024.
The wind mill generators will be shipped into Argentina via Bahia Blanca.
