Significant Increase of Sanitary Dues to Commence Inmediatly
We regret to inform that the Sanitary Authority of the outgoing Government, which left office yesterday Sunday December 10th, announced a significant increase of the charges for granting Free Practique for all vessels incoming from abroad.
What used to be a “symbolic” charge of about USD 100 has now been increased to a figure in the range of USD 5,000 (USD 4,000/USD 6,000) and will now be calculated on the basis the vessel’s NRT.
All vessels will be charged according to a scale that was published Friday December 08th (a national holiday).
The new charges to be applied amount to an estimate of USD 5,700.00 for a vessel of 25,000 NRT.
